Product Introduction

Neomycin sulfat pulver is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is used mostly in animal medicine and making medicines for people. It kills bacteria by attaching itself permanently to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria. This causes the genetic code to be misread and stops protein synthesis.

The chemical mostly works on aerobic Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, and Klebsiella. It can also kill Gram-positive strains like Staphylococcus aureus. It gathers in the gut because it is not well absorbed from the digestive system. This makes it the best choice for sterilising the intestines and treating enteric infections.

Before it is shipped, every production batch goes through several stages of quality checks. Our SGS-standard laboratory tests our products for heavy metals, moisture, microbial load, and effectiveness (using Staphylococcus epidermidis for a microbiological study). It also does HPLC-based impurity monitoring (Neamine, Neomycin A, and Neomycin C ratio).

We also work with outside companies like SGS and Eurofins to do testing for pesticide residue, measuring optical rotation, and nutritional labelling. The amount of Neomycin C is carefully kept within the EP/USP range of 3% to 15%; any change above or below this range means the fermentation quality is bad and the drug's effectiveness is lower.

Stable Across pH and Temperature

It works against microbes best at pH 7.0–8.0 and stays active between 2.0 and 9.0. It doesn't break down in alkaline conditions like tetracyclines do, which makes it more reliable in systems that provide medicated drinking water.

1. Veterinary Soluble Powders

2. Topical Formulations for People

Provided as a base for creams, ointments, and eye drops, most of the time with Polymyxin B and Bacitracin. Because it doesn't absorb well through healthy skin, it can be used safely on small wounds and burns.

3. Speciality drugs for pre-surgery and liver use

Oral versions are used in clinical settings to get rid of bacteria in the gut that make ammonia in people with hepatic encephalopathy and to clean the intestines before colon surgery.

The steps are: fermentation; extraction and filtration; purification (ion exchange); crystallisation; drying; milling; quality control testing; and Emballage.

The 100,000-level cleaning workshop keeps particles from getting into the process as it's going on. During drying, moisture is carefully controlled to keep LOD ≤8.0%. This stops the hygroscopic caking that usually happens with this type of powder. From the raw fermentation culture to the final drum packaging, each batch can be tracked.

Q1: What is the usual level of strength for USP-grade material?

A: The potency must be at least 600 µg/mg when the substance is not mixed with water. A microbiological test showed that Hongda's standard batch results usually go above this level.

Q2: How should the product be kept so that it doesn't break down?

A: Keep it in plastic or glass containers with tight lids that don't contain sodium at temperatures below 30°C. If you don't seal the powder, it will take moisture from the air, which will cause it to clump and lose its effectiveness.

Q3: Can it be mixed with other medicines to make a premix?

A: Yes, it works better when combined with Oxytetracycline and Polymyxin B. But don't mix it with anionic substances like some vitamins or detergents, because precipitation could happen.

Q4: Does the pH of the water in the lines change how well it kills bacteria?

A: Yes, Neomycin works best in places with a pH of 7.0 to 8.0. If you are acidifying your water lines for sanitation reasons, stop the acidification while you are on medication to get the full antibacterial effect.

A: Standard removal times for edible tissue (mostly kidney and liver) are between 5 and 14 days, but this depends on the dose and local rules like FDA or EMA standards. Always check with the local government.

Q6: Can this grade be used to make liquid products?
